On Thursday, I was near New York City Hall to join a few other reporters to be briefed about an idea to protect southern Manhattan from future Sandy-type storms (read it here). When I walked into the New York City Mayor’s Office of Recovery and Resiliency, I discovered something funny.
After checking in, I was directed to a waiting area and noticed five clocks on the wall (see my photo above). But they don’t indicate where the mayor is or anything like that. They give the time in each of the five boroughs, which is the same since while New York City occupies five counties, they’re all in the same time zone. I chuckled. Hope you find it mildly amusing.
