Here’s the story behind Grace and me. Grace was born and raised in Taiwan and came to the United States on her own to go to high school in Manhattan. She’s lived there off and on ever since. In January of 2008, we were at our mutual friend Kellie’s 80s-themed party (I came looking a bit like Balki from “Perfect Strangers”). Grace and I then connected on Facebook and she subsequently invited me to an all-you-can-eat sushi outing. We are now like siblings. I’ve had her over to my parents’ house for Thanksgiving for two years. She even celebrated Jewish Christmas (for those who don’t know, that means Chinese food and movies) in 2010.
Well, on Thursday, January 20, 2011, Grace hosted a Shepherd’s Pie dinner party.
The appetizer course included a stuffed turkey dish. Very different and very delicious.
It also included a pasta dish with olive oil, garlic, cheese, and bacon. Delicious!
I love Shepherd’s Pie and Grace’s was quite yummy.
Grace really knows how to throw a dinner party! My belly went home happy!
